I’m about to get real cheesy on y’all but what’s a better time to get all gushy than valentines day?! I’m marrying the love of my life and best friend in less than 3 months. Here’s a little montage of our relationship:
As you can tell:
- We obviously love to sing to Luke Bryan.
- We love summer and being on the water.
- Brian loves his Gamecocks.
- We are goofy as hell.
- I love him.
Have a happy love day tomorrow! Xoxoxo
When my mom asked, “Hey Lauren, would you want to go out to lunch with my Co-worker, Sheila, and her son Brian?” I thought….”she’s trying to set me up!” But I said ok, sure. I thought in my mind, this is going to be the most awkward lunch of my life…..I was nervous….
Once we walked into the restaurant and sat down, my mind immediately changed from, “THIS IS SO AWKWARD.”… To… “He’s so easy to talk to and he’s got a really cute dimple.” It was almost like our mom’s weren’t even there. Once lunch was over, we all walked outside, said our goodbyes, never knowing where we would be today. I love telling people that our first date was with our moms. Some of the best things in life are unexpected and I never want to take what we have for granted.
Today is Valentine’s Day. I used to hate this day when I was younger. When I was single, I looked at this day as a hallmark holiday. What I didn’t realize is that today is a good day to surround your friends and family with love. It can be a day full of giving out smiles, and what’s so awful about that?
I also think it’s important to remind your loved ones throughout the year how much they mean to you. I heard a quote, “Don’t save something for a special occasion, every day is a special occasion.”To my friends and family and Brian, I love you not only today, but every day!
Happy Valentines day! <3
Love Always. XOXO.
