healthy living

Plant Seed. Grow. Bloom.

It’s so dang easy to get stuck in a rut, doing the same old thing everything every day. I know by experience. Lately, for some reason, I have felt SO unmotivated. Not just in one area in my life but in every area. My house is a wreck, my car is a wreck, haven’t written in a month, I haven’t had a GREAT workout in a month or so and that’s not it, the list could go on.

I’m not going to get discouraged with myself. I’m trying not to at least. I don’t think I would be human if I didn’t feel a bit of guilt. The key is to not let this get too out of control. Don’t let the one month of being out of whack set the tone for your life. We all go through period or two of being unmotivated or feeling just blah about life. You’ve got to push through it. You can bloom right where you’re planted!

I heard this quote that I absolutely loved and it says “Even if you’re on the right track, if you just sit there, you will eventually get run over.” It reminded me that I have to keep stretching and keep growing in my passions.  Like I said, it’s SO easy to get stuck but you have so much more living to do. You have to push yourself to get to a new level.  Only YOU can set your mind to do it. No one can do it for you. You can start improving right where you are! Learn more, do more, stretch yourself and remember how great you are! 😉 Track

10 ways to bloom RIGHT where you’re planted:

  1. Get some daily exercise! Release those endorphins.
  2. Find a mentor.
  3. Take a class to learn more, with the internet you can find caboodles of things.
  4. Listen to some podcast.
  5. Join a club or service organization.
  6. Write in a journal.
  7. Read. read. read. Oh and did I say read?
  8. Get some inspired beach, mall:), downtown, art gallery, mountain, anywhere that inspires YOU.
  9. Try a new recipe.
  10. Get your sleep. Just remember, you need your rest to be your best.

Weekend Pep Talk!

Sometimes things happen in life that you can’t help but question, WHY?!? Why did this happen to me? When things go so awfully wrong, you can’t help but ponder, why God, why would you let bad things happen to good people?? Sometimes when it rains it pours, but remember, that quote that says, “ After rain there’s a rainbow, after a storm there’s calm, after the night there’s a morning, and after a ending there’s a new beginning.”

Keep your chin up and know that there are still great days ahead of you. There is a plan for your life. I just know it. When one door closes, a bigger and and better door will open. I truly believe that. Want to know why? Because i’ve seen it with my own two eyes. There have been times when situations occurred, where I thought, WHY ME?! Trust me,I know it doesn’t make it any easier at the time, hearing the words, “ there is a plan for your life.” But it WILL get better and you will see better days. Keep your spirits up and smile. Better days are on the way.

Whatever you do…DON’T give up.

I’m constantly working towards reaching my goals. Some days, it’s so frustrating because I don’t see any results and I don’t see anything happening. What I am realizing though is that you can’t give up! To accomplish something you really really want, you just have to stick with it.

Remember, anything you want to accomplish takes hard work and it’s not going to happen overnight. Be patient, the longer you stick with something, the closer you are to your goal. Like I said, I’ve been very frustrated lately on how long things are taking. I can’t understand because I keep believing and knowing that it’s going to happen, but it seems to be taking forever. I just get weary. Whenever you get weary, think about how far you have come. Think about the good things in your life and remember that your best days are in front of you! You, my dear, have so much left to accomplish.

You’re going to have some setbacks. We all make mistakes; it’s how you bounce back from these mistakes that help you soar to your success.  What it takes is belief in yourself. Deep down, you have to know you can do this. You can and will accomplish anything and everything you have ever wanted!

I love the quote by Olympian Gail Devers that says “Keep your dreams alive. Understand that to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work and determination. Remember that all things are possible for those who believe.”

It’s that time of year again! I have a love/ hate relationship with bathing suit season. I love when I feel comfortable in my skin.  Loving what I am wearing helps me feel a lot better.  I have included suits that will fit  all body types.  Get outside and have some fun in the sun!
